The Kit showing is about 3 kilometres east of the Kitsault River, 12 kilometres north of Alice Arm.

The area is underlain by Lower Jurassic Hazelton Group andesite flows and argillite. Irregular patches of carbonate-altered volcanics and narrow (<1 metre to 1.5 metres) zones of pyritic shearing are evident. Rock sample #33114 from a pyritic shear in argillite near a volcanic contact assayed 0.23 per cent zinc (Assessment Report 19888).

In 1989, work on behalf of Dolly Varden Minerals Inc. consisted of reconnaissance geological mapping, rock sampling and prospecting; a total of 18 select rock samples were submitted for analysis.
